This blog is a space for me to ramble about life as an American expat living in the Virgin Islands, although I’ve kept up older posts from grad school.
This blog’s title was taken (with permission) from the editor’s column at the BVI Beacon. Photos in the posts are by me, but the shots of me are by the lovely and talented Ngovou Gyang.
More about me:
I’m a writer and editor at Island Publishing Services in Tortola.
From 2010 until 2016 I was a journalist at the BVI Beacon.
In May 2010, I finished the Master of Mass Communication program with the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University. While I was there, I did a bunch of cool stuff like work in the New Media Innovation Lab, as a reporter for the Cronkite News Service, and as a teaching and research assistant for a bunch of awesome professors.
You can also find me on Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn.
Oh, and I’m a really fun person.
For the record, I miss you.
